A time forgotten from ancient past -
Laid to rest forever at last
Wealth and power came and went -
It's time in Bryyo long overspent
In ruins and statues and hallowed grounds -
Their ancient magic can still be found
Their timely knowledge forever unknown -
All that remains; their history in stone
It tells of a war against their' own -
It speaks of a future where evil holds throne
The price of their wars; a terrible cost -
Their culture is now forever lost
Their mournful cries still haunt these halls -
Yet no one is let who can answer their calls
The golden age of Bryyo has died -
Washed away like the falling tide.
I got Metroid Prime 3 the moment I could. True, it had been out for a week or two; but I compensated by smashing my way through it in 7 hours (100% scans and Items to boot).
I was intrigued by the Bryyonian historical logs; they were so vivid and left very few questions in my mind. Their history is a sad one indeed - civil war ignited by arrogance, and blemished by attrocities. They virtually destroyed their world, and when it was over, and the last Lord of Science tried to correct the ills his kind had inflicted, but it was hopeless. Now; all that remains are ruins statues and temples... and the descendants of the Bryyonians - now mindless monsters that thirst for blood... I cried over it... I guess I'm getting too empathetic without someone shooting at me...

The lore of Skytown is also sad. And it was something that happened very recently, I think.

With Bryyo I get the impression that their collapse occurred a long time ago.
